And with over 70 varieties of semi-precious stones, including tigers eye, rose quartz, garnet, peridot and amethyst, you will be spoilt for choice. Take your time and enjoy finding the brightest, prettiest, most valuable or simply the ones which draw you the most.
The old western mine of Prospect Place is here to welcome you. Pan in the mine stream for gold or sift through the sands in the mine carts for hidden gems. Either way you will leave with treasure. It could even be a beautifully cut precious stone.
Discovery Zone
Entrance is free to the Discovery Zone. Here you will be able to find out about the rocks all around us, how minerals are formed and extracted and the geology of Cornwall. You will also be able to create crafts using your stones and other available items.
